Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden’s blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit after officers found him asleep and unresponsive in a running SUV, according to documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained.

Officers booked Snowden, 27, into the Clark County Detention Center early Tuesday morning and released him, records said.

Metro police arrested Snowden on Rainbow Boulevard near Sunset Road in the southwest valley after receiving a report about a “suspicious vehicle,” 8 News Now first reported. The first officer responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. Monday. Snowden most recently played in last Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay in Florida. Snowden was in the driver’s seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that “had almost rolled off a four-foot retaining wall,” according to a police report the 8 News Now Investigators first obtained. The car’s engine was running, and the gear was in neutral.
