Outgoing Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler has demanded Space X founder Elon Musk pay a fine of an undisclosed amount to settle charges over his initial 2022 purchases of Twitter shares.

President-elect Donald Trump‘s second term will see the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Musk and Ramaswamy’s newest office is designed to “dismantle” government bureaucracy and “slash excess regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure Federal Agencies.”
